LinkAuthority Review – The Next Generation in Link Building

Posted on Jan 26,2012

(As this is our own service I have done this review as a third person review to stay unbiased and treat it like any other platform)

LinkAuthority is a brand-new link building blog network, just launched a couple of months ago December 2011. It currently has more than 700 sites and is growing on a daily basis. What’s different about this service is the fact that it only accepts unique content and submits each article only to one site per day. This may seem like an incredible waste of time if you are currently using a spinning network, but when you stop and think of the mechanics behind it you may just change your mind.

Another great selling point is that the service is free if you submit your own PR2 or better domains. They do allow you to purchase extra quota if you want to submit more articles than your domains allow, but LinkAuthority says they would prefer you earn your credits rather than purchase them. They have set things up this way to ensure that only aged and high-ranking sites are included in their network. They have no interest in merely building a network of thousands of useless blogs.

How It Works

Once you sign up for the service you are more pushed along the lines of submitting at least one PR2 domain to the network (Although there are paid options they are not hugely advertised). With that domain you are allowed two article submissions per day. As you add more domains your quota goes up; and the higher the PR of the domains you submit the more quota each domain is worth. This is not a new system by any means; most of the contributor owned networks operate on some sort of similar system. The difference comes in to play when you talk about how articles are submitted and published.

When you submit your original article it will first be run past a moderator who will check it for quality and uniqueness. Once that moderator agrees that your content passes, it is submitted to only a single site. The system would then build backlinks into every published articles to get it indexed. That means there is no duplicate content anywhere else on the web. This is a great benefit, especially after the Google Panda updates started punishing content that was excessively duplicated and/or watered down. When you submit your article and it is accepted, you can rest assured it is going to a quality website and it will be unique.

By the same token, the articles submitted to the domains you contribute to the network will have passed through the same strict moderation. That means you’re not going to get any spun and re-spun junk that already appears on 15 other sites. You will have high-quality, unique content to help boost your page rank and traffic.

The Referral Program

Another unique aspect to LinkAuthority is their referral program. This program rewards users for referring others to the service. For every person you refer who submits a PR2 domain you are given an extra daily submission credit. Refer a couple of dozen new customers and you can see how quickly your submission credits can go up. It is a great way to increase your credits without having to buy into the paid system. Of course, if you still demand extra credits you can purchase them as we said earlier.

A Public-Private Mix

LinkAuthority’s main strength lies in how the network has been structured – Not only can users add sites as mentioned above which are all moderated before being accepted into the system. But LinkAuthority also contributes their private network into the system. Which makes its a hybrid network with 50% being user owned and 50% being owned by LinkAuthority itself.

The only downside I can see and if this is something that’s important to you, is that LinkAuthority creates all of the categories for you. You have no control over this portion of the program. You also don’t have direct control over what sites you’re articles are submitted to. Because of the fact that it is all unique content going only to one quality site each, this usually isn’t a problem though.

Case Studies

Since mid December where we were alpha testing the system, we created one campaign and have until now published 60 posts on high PR sites. The breakdown is as follows:
- 15 PR2 posts
- 16 PR3 Posts
- 19 PR4 Posts
- 6 PR5 Posts
- 4 PR6 Posts

All of these posts have been indexed, most were indexed within 24 hours.

Rankings wise the keyword that was targeted had an exact match of 18k so was quite a competitive term. The site was at position 9 and as I now type this the site is at position 3 in the rankings.

Since it’s free to get started there really is no good reason not to give LinkAuthority a try. At the very least you’ll submit a single domain, write a couple of articles every day for a month, and see where it goes. Of course, if you’re not interested in producing unique and high quality content this network is probably not for you. You might be better off looking for one that accepts spun and auto-spun content.

Overall I give LinkAuthority a 9/10

Authority Link Network – Free but is it Worth Free?

Posted on Jan 24,2012

If I told you I had this really great car which was extremely dependable and got great petrol mileage, and, I was going to give it to you free of charge would you take me up on my offer? Or would you suspect that I was trying to give away my car with some significant strings attached? If I were the recipients I would suspect the latter. Such is the case with Authority Link Network, one of the latest in a long line of blog submission networks helping to create a severe log jam of SEO content.

Authority Link Network is a service ostensibly offered free of charge to anyone interested in using it. Despite being free they claim their service “really works” by producing high search engine results and keeping your sites there. But since every article submission service claims to do the same thing, and there are only 20 slots in the top 20, how can they all produce? What’s more, how can a service so good deliver for free?

Network Size

Authority Link Network claim to have almost 16k sites in their system. The dashboard also verifies this – But after digging a little deeper we have come to the conclusion that this number is not the “active” sites in the system and it also may include some or all of the following sites, low PR, Dead Sites, Pending sites – So the active count I would presume would be much lower.

Nothing Is Ever Free

Every blog network or article submission service needs a hook to gain and keep customers. In the case of Authority Link Network their hook is the fact that their service is free – but not free at the same time. In other words, you can sign up for free but you cannot submit any articles until you also submit one blog site of your own to which articles can be posted. But not just any site will do. You must submit a site that currently has page rank. The idea behind this is that every participant helps every other one out by providing a group of blogs that are already known to generate viewers and already trusted and indexed by Google.

You’re probably suspecting there has to be a catch… and there is. The catch lies in the fact that you are given points for every PR domain you submit. You can then submit one article for every point you have to your credit. That sounds fair, doesn’t it? But wait, there’s still more.

Your first three domains are only worth a half point apiece. That means if you stay with the “free” service you can submit only one article per day. Actually, you technically could submit 1.5 articles, but what is half an article? If you want to submit more you must sign up for the paid service which starts at $14.95 per month. Beginning with your fourth domain you’ll have three points to your credit, five domains equals’ six points. As you can see, free has literally no value to it. If you want to get anything worthwhile on this service will have to pay for it like anything else.

Beware of Quality

There are lots of article writers and domain owners who love spun content because they can quickly get articles and backlinks out on the web without putting any effort into it. This is lazy marketing which diminishes the quality and makes it more difficult for hard-working writers and site owners. What’s even worse is auto-spun content; something that Authority Link Network freely allows. One reviewer of Authority Link Network even bragged about how auto-spun content let’s him make money by working only an hour per day. You may be thinking that’s a boon for you, but not so fast. Think about what that means when everyone on the network is forced to share their sites with one another.

If you have 1,000 members on your network and 500 of them are using auto-spun content you already have half your members not putting in the effort to produce quality work. After just six months of swapping this content you diminish quality to the point where the whole network collapses under its own worthless weight. Authority Link Network might be a great way to earn some quick money now, but it will not survive the test of time.

For ALN to improve on this aspect they will need to place some type of quality control into the system – Because at this time a lot of the sites in their network are getting deindexed – The only thing that is keeping the network afloat is users adding new sites daily. But is this really the way of the future?

You Have No Control

As far as who gets your articles, you have no say. You submit them with the promise that they will be distributed to 15 sites inside the network sometime over the course of the next three days. And while you certainly can insert up to three backlinks per article there is no guarantee they will get any traffic if your articles and up on websites that are completely unrelated to yours or what you do. In essence, it is a backlink crapshoot in which you are forced to hope for the best.

In their defence, the creators of Authority Link Network don’t promise you’ll become a millionaire using their service. In fact, they recommended that you use as many other tools as possible in order to maximize your results across the board. But let’s be honest, if a company or service is admitting their service isn’t worth anything, why is it worth promoting?

A Case Study

One of our sites was not ranked in the top 100 for keyword that received an exact match search of 1000. . We signed up for Authority Link Network and immediately started paying the $14.95 monthly fee so that we could submit some of our own domains.

I ordered 6 articles to be created and submitted them all on the same day. I then logged out and did not log back in until a week later. I looked at the rankings and the site was sitting at position 38. So I then ordered another 6 pieces of content

We’ve only been with Authority Link Network for a short while so I can’t give you any projections over the long haul. But just from my initial few weeks with them it appears as though their service does, at least in the short term, what it claims. But just how long will this last?

I did get a few trackbacks on some of the domains so I followed them to see my links. I straight away loaded up the homepage of the site and it was basically full of garbage spun articles all posted into uncategorized.

Overall I would give ALN a 5.5/10

SEO Link Monster Review – Does it Work? Real Honest Review

Posted on Jan 17,2012

SEO Link Monster is the new kid on the block when it comes to blog networks. It’s so new that hasn’t even been launched yet. However, it is coming February 7 (2012) and is being brought to you by brothers Brad and Matt Callen. You may be familiar with two of their other well-known products: SEO Link Vine and My Article Network

This review won’t be as long and detailed as some others because SEO Link Monster is not yet up and running full force. But by reading some of the things written by the Callen brothers in the past weeks we can give you a general idea of what to expect. Of course, all of this is subject to change when the service goes online.

The brothers Callen promise a new service offering an automated Google ranking system, a link building network that is allegedly “unlike any other”, a professional support staff, and personalised SEO training for those in need. All of this will be available for an initial first-month fee of $47; after that the fee goes up to $147 per month.

Another Blog Network

Although details remain sketchy it appears that SEO Link Monster will be another blog network with a twist. What’s the twist? Ownership. Virtually all of the blog networks these days are owned by the users rather than a central ownership. In other words, when you sign on with a blog network you submit your domains to be shared among all the other users. Together you help one another to build the network and ostensibly the content along with it. However, the very nature of such a network is not sustainable over the long haul.

This principle has been clearly demonstrated by the Callen brother’s previous blog network, SEO LinkVine. That network, like so many others, started out exceptionally strong but then collapsed under its own weight when the number of users reached critical mass. The Callen brothers plan to avoid the same fate with their new venture by owning the entire network themselves. Users who sign up with this service will not be able to submit their own domains to grow the network.

This model allows the Callen brothers to tightly control the content and where it goes. Hopefully this also means they won’t allow watered-down content to destroy the value of the network. But of course, that remains to be seen should we decide to take a look a year from now. If they hold true to that model, this could end up being a very profitable link building tool for everyone involved.

Ease of Use

One of the things SEO Link Monster allegedly has going for it is its ease of use. The system is almost entirely automated, including level-1 and flat spinning tools. You simply create your articles, and submit them by pasting them into your control panel. From there the automated system takes care of the rest. You’re provided with a set of tools to help you track your rankings and measure your results. For newbies it doesn’t appear that it could be any simpler.

As previously mentioned, along with the article submission service users also get a free SEO training course (though we don’t know what that will entail), an article pack, and some free software available only to SEO Link Monster users. I’m not sure all of these benefits are worth the money for this service but we’ll have to wait and see when it comes out.

Case Studies

We have not done any testing ourselves due to the fact that SCO Link monster is not yet live. We contacted some of the other reviewers we know and one of them did an early test with mixed results. This reviewer submitted 40 articles over the course of two weeks and checked his results at the end of each week. After the first week his page rankings and total number of submissions were not all that impressive. Certainly not worth the $147 per month if things do not change once the system goes live. By the end of the second week his sites had slightly better page ranking but still a very poor submission rate.

It is quite possible that the poor performance of SEO Link Monster in this test is a solely the result of the fact that it’s not yet up and running. But if the Callen brothers own all of the blogs on the network, and all those blogs are currently making them money, it would stand to reason that even a beta test of this program should return promising results. The fact that it didn’t leads one to wonder how well the service will perform in the real world.

A Cautious Conclusion

In conclusion, this review was to give you some general information in anticipation of the release of the service. Don’t base your decisions on whether or not try it solely on what we’ve written here. If you are the courageous type you might want to sign up as soon as it’s available in early February 2012. Otherwise you might want to wait until it’s been a month or so and read what some of the other reviewers are saying about it. Best of luck to you.
