The Backlinks Genie Review – Your One Stop Shop or Miserably Fail?
Claiming To Make the Impossible a Reality
One of the first things you might notice when navigating to the Backlinks genie website is all the hype about granting you three wishes. What they claim to offer you is the opportunity to automate all your backlinking tasks from one control panel, planning your tasks weeks in advance and finally that this service will come to you at one low affordable price.
So their aim is to make your internet marketing strategy one that you have to do very little work to maintain. Let’s scratch away the paint a little and see what is really under the surface.
What Is On Offer

Wish 1: Automation across the Board
There is a vast list of tasks the control panel will allow you to schedule. These pretty much cover all your bases and the list looks like this:
- Web 2.0 sites creation – minimum of 15 sites per project per day
- Web 2.0 repost – Post articles to existing web 2.0 sites
- Article Submission – Article submitted to over 100 directories each day
- Page Rank 4+ Profile linkwheel – minimum of 60 profiles per day
- Blog commenting – minimum of 750 verified comments per day
- Xrumer Blast- minimum of 2,000 profiles per day
- 3 Day project – combine web 2.0, PR4+ profile linkwheels, and blog comment into one project
- 4 Day project – combine web 2.0, PR4+ profile linkwheels, blog comment, and xrumer into one project
As you can see there is plenty for you to work with and the interface that manages it all is fairly simple to navigate once you get the hang of it.
Wish 2: Advance Planning Of Tasks
This is actually about the most true statement the website will make in terms of what they say they offer compared to what they actually offer. You can plan all the tasks for your projects as far in advance as you need. Assuming you supply all the right data to the system there is really very little maintenance work that needs doing after that.
The key factor in making this system work for you is knowing in advance everything that you will need to get your backlinks not only up and running but also keeping that information relevant for as long as possible. The idea being that as long as the information you supply is going to be relevant for a long time you can schedule the system to run ahead as much as you feel necessary.
Wish 3: Low Cost Back Linking
What the Backlinks Genie call low price will never really be known. At the moment they are offering their service at the ‘low’ monthly cost of $199. This price is usually $249 so you are making a saving but you will have to ask yourself if outlaying $2400 annually is either in your budget or worth taking out of your budget for the convenience of automation.

What They Actually Give You
The one fault I can find with all of this is that you will be paying your ‘low’ monthly premium for the convenience of being able to schedule one task a day. That’s right, from all those wonderful tasks this software is capable of you can choose one a day. For anyone that holds multiple domains that need backlinking you have two options:
- You sign up for multiple accounts. Backlinks Genie are nice enough to offer you a discount should you choose this route.
- Split the needs of your domain across the week and hope that you are getting enough coverage for all of them.
You can already see that there are problems with both of these theories but if you are determined to use this service you will have to make sacrifices. That being said there are times where you may be able to justify this kind of outlay.
So Does it Work?
We have been using BacklinksGenie for a few months now, so below are a few of the results that have and have been achieved with the service.
We tested most of the separate components one by one.
- The first component we tested was the comment blast; this was on a site that was 12 months old. The keyword we were going after had an exact match search volume of only 500. We were at position 136. We set the campaign running; the odd thing was that most of the links that were generated were nofollow, after a couple of weeks positions increased only 5 and it has stayed like that.
- The next section we tested individually was the link wheel. Again links were created fairly fast but we saw no movement in our positions over a course of 3 weeks. On a side note profile links do take quite a while to get picked up.
- A section that did see an overall improvement was the Xrumer blast. We tested this on a term with 1000+ search volume (Exact match) and totally competition of three and a half million. The site was sitting at position 35, positions increased within a week to no20, but then since then have dropped to position 25. We all know xrumer links do not stand the test of time, so we will wait and see if we drop back to our old position.
- Finally we did a four day project which entails all of the above mentioned and more. The site we tested it on was a very specific niche with 200 exact match and 1 million competing pages. When we started this it was ranking at position #574. 2 weeks after the completion of the project the site is now sitting nicely at #8

Wrapping It Up
There are far too many niggles to be completely committed to the Backlinks Genie cause. The first thing that comes to mind is that anyone who needs the kind of service this software provides will already be doing more than one task a day manually, it’s just the nature of the business.
So why on earth would they restrict you so blatantly? There is obviously the argument that they would like more multiple subscriptions. You should also consider that their competitors are offering 20 sites to an account with multiple tasks on each every day. The price they charge for that kind of service? About a quarter of what you would be shelling out to Backlinks Genie.
It seems almost silly that they have gone and done this to themselves. In the end if you can find two services that together offer all of the tasking options of the Genie and you still end up paying less for both combined why would you not choose them instead?
The system does everything, but from looking at the methods such as Xrumer and profile linking, the lists that the site compiles are not unique. The same list is being used again and again, probably and forums and the lot. I would say if you have the budget then go for it. If you do not I would not lose any sleep over it there are many more programs that give you more bang for your buck.
Overall ranking 5/10
